WELCOME TO THE CARIBBEAN!

It is good to once in a while get out of a cold country like England to fly to… an even colder one! In fact, I recommend it! You see, the logic is simple: if you experience the kind of freezing cold I had to put up with in Berlin, coming back to Cambridge is coming back to a mild Spring weather (eheheh). Despite the cold weather and the snow (yes it snowed, big snow flakes, and Berlin was covered in white – beautiful), I had a great extended weekend. I managed to do a bit of tourism (and see Berlin again, 10 years after my last visit), to revisit two friends (Yann and Jesse), play a great indoor tournament with a nice Dutch team and still come 6th out of 24 open teams. Cool!
And, given that this all took place in East Berlin, we had the chance to experience the underground night live. The partying was hard…and the sports hall too… eheheh.
